IMPORTANT: We ask that people using the transfer station wear face coverings in accordance with the Governor's directive. Our staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone not wearing a face covering.
The Transfer Station will now charge a $10 day fee, in addition to all other fees, for anyone wishing to use the facility who has not purchased a yearly permit sticker.

Trash and Recycling
The Town of Rhinebeck Transfer Station for waste and recycling is open year-round on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. The Town transfer station is on Stone Church Road across from the ball fields (click here or enter 376 Stone Church Road on Google Maps). Fee Schedule. A permit is now required and may be purchased at the Town Hall (at this time we ask people to mail-in for their permits and not come in person. Make your check out to the Town of Rhinebeck). Everyone will have until May 1st 2020 to purchase their permits. Before then you may use the transfer station as if you had a permit.The permits are good for a year from May 1st. You should know that the following items can NOT be recycled: styrofoam; glossy paper; coated cartons; flower pots; tupperware; wax or coated paper; wet or food contaminated paper/cardboard (pizza boxes!); paper towels, tissues and toilet paper; hard book covers. Brush Drop Off
Resident's can drop-off brush at the old dump site on Stone Church Road. Site is open 9 am to 1 pm on the last Saturday of September and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of October and November. . Burning
Burn Permits are no longer required, but there is a burn ban in effect from March 15 to May 15. All other times small burns are allowed according the DEC's Open Burning Regulations. Please visit the DEC website if you need more information. |
