The Town Board Meeting scheduled for 6pm on Monday, January 26th is canceled and has been rescheduled and renoticed for 12pm on Thursday, January 29th. ANNOUNCEMENTS, CLOSINGS, MEETINGS, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER CURRENT ITEMS OF NOTE RHINECLIFF TRAIN STATION RENOVATION Upon receiving this very detailed plan form Amtrak, my main concern was that the new bridge is much larger than the existing one and dwarfs the station. The scale is off. Being very sensitive to the historic integrity of the station and of new construction in our LWRP, I forwarded the presentation to the Town Board, our Planning Board and Historic Preservation Committee for their comments. Please notice that Amtrak themselves flagged the size as a possible concern. I also expressed concern that Amtrak/NYSDOT is still a long way from beginning work — Spring of 2027 and wanted some assurance that the work was still within the budget allocated for the project.
